Lake City’s Grilled Cheese Competition
Year Two!!!

We may be leaving the area, but our heart—and our commitment—will always remain in the North Country. We can’t think of a better way to give back than by supporting those already doing the heavy lifting. This year’s competition will once again raise funds for National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI), an organization doing incredible work supporting some of our community’s most vulnerable.
Building on last year’s success, we’re going bigger. More participants means more grilled cheese for you to try—and this year, we’re adding a live finale. You, the public, will have one week to try all 14 entries and score each one during your visit. At the end of the week, those scores will be tallied and the top three restaurants will advance to our first-ever live championship round on May 25th during the Memorial Day Celebration, where they’ll present brand-new recipes to a panel of judges.
Two judges will be selected by our team—and the third could be you. Anyone who tries all 14 entries will be entered into a random drawing, with one name chosen to help crown this year’s champion. So bring your friends, plan your route, and come hungry. Try them all, support local, and be part of something bigger than just great food—let’s make this year louder, bigger, and more impactful than ever.

Grilled Cheese Competition
In celebration of National Grilled Cheese Day and our amazing community, we have organized a local grilled cheese competition partnering with 15 local restaurants. On the Week of April 7th - 11th, participating restaurants will showcase their competition entry as a special, available to everyone, and voted on by you! $1 for every grilled cheese sold will be donated to the NAMI of Champlain Valley, where it will be used directly for our community. In addition to the People’s Choice award, three judges will be selected and will make the rounds to score each entry. The winner’s will be announce by us, Love, Peace, and Grilled Cheese at 1pm on April 12th at Trinity Park. The winning sandwich will be ran as a special on our truck for two weeks following with all proceeds going to NAMI
